Coronavirus is trembling the state of Maharashtra. On Wednesday alone, in the metropolis of Mumbai, 5,185 new cases were reported. In the last 24 hours, 95 deaths were reported in Maharashtra. 15,098 people recovered and were discharged.
So far 1,87,25,037 samples have been tested in Maharashtra and 25,64,881 have been tested positive. Of these, 22,62,593 recovered and 53,684 lost their lives. There are currently 2,47,299 active cases. On the other hand, the Center said it was deeply concerned over the rise in corona cases in Maharashtra.
Strict restrictions are being imposed in many parts of Maharashtra to curb the spread of corona. The govt imposed a lockdown in Nashik till March 31. Authorities ordered all stores except emergency services to be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Authorities in Aurangabad, which has already imposed a lockdown till April 11, have recently imposed Section 144. The rule will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the other hand, a total of ten days of lockdown was announced in Nanded from the 25th of this month to the 5th of April.
