Agree with this or not, Caste plays a major part in politics even in these days. In a state like AP where the dominance in the state is being restricted to two or three communities, casteist allegations are an inevitable scenario for any leader. Be it accusations on Jagan for favoring Christianity and blaming Chandrababu for making a Dalit leader contest in yesterday’s Rajya Sabha polls, it is all a part of these caste-driven politics.
We can talk about many instances like these but the leaders belong to the same caste that too in the same party fight with each other happens very rarely and now we are witnessing that rarity. It is known that Narsapuram MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju has been in talks with BJP since he became MP from the YSRCP party. Since then, he has been criticizing Jagan and his government at every chance he gets, and some times he appears as an opposition leader in the state.
Defending their supremo, the Narsapuram MLA Mudunuru Prasad Raju, Karumuri Nageswara Rao, Kottu Satya Narayana, District Incharge Perni Nani started to bash Krishnam Raju and challenged him to win from Narsipatnam without Jagan’s image by resigning his post. Raju Garu gave his reply in cinematic fashion by saying that only pigs come in group and the Lion arrives as a sole contender.
Most of the YSRCP party leaders in the Narsapuram Parliamentary and the surrounding regions belong to ‘Kshatriya Community’ and Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju is one of them. So, as all of them turned against Raju Garu, Jagan certainly has the responsibility to stop all this ruckus. If that takes to oust Raju Garu from the party, he might opt that option glee fully as it would work for him both ways.
