Congress MLA from Munugode Assembly constituency, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, raised a lot of eyebrows when he met with Telangana Chief Minister, and TRS Chief KCR, on Thursday, at Pragathi Bhavan. This is now raising speculations over whether Rajagopal is all set to jump to the TRS from the Congress, after all.
After Revanth Reddy was appointed as the TPCC Chief in June this year, Rajagopal distanced himself from the party, and has stayed confined to his own constitution since then. Rajagopal’s brother, Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, also distanced himself from the Cognress party and didn’t visit Gandhi bhavan after that.
After Venkat Reddy attended a protest programme held by TPCC chief A.Revanth Reddy at Indira Park, Hyderabad, on paddy procurement issue, where he announced to work with Revanth in the interests of the party, Rajagopal was left shocked. As a result, it is expected that he took the decision to shift to the TRS. When asked about the same, Rajagopal said that he met KCR to invite the CM to for his son’s wedding, and has nothing to do with politics. However, no one is buying into this, and it is now to be seen what will happen in the near future.
