Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been granted bail by a Mumbai court. He is set to step out of the prison two months after his arrest over allegations of shooting and digital streaming porn. The court granted bail to Mr Kundra on a surety of Rs 50,000.
According to reports, the businessman is expected to release on Tuesday morning at around 10.30 am. Raj Kundra had on Saturday requested bail arguing that the investigation is over and a charge sheet has been filed.
In his bail petition, Kundra claimed that he was being made a scapegoat, and that there was no single evidence in the supplementary charge sheet of him. The businessman, who was arrested on July 19, said in his bail plea that he was falsely accused and drawn into the case.
