YS Sharmila, the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, started her own political party in Telangana last month. Since then, she has been making strong statements against the TRS and CM KCR and has been protesting against the lack of jobs in the state every week, on Tuesday.
Her protests aren’t as successful as she would have hoped for them to be, but she’s getting decent coverage in friendly media outlets. However, this is not enough for her to create a political impact in the state, which is why everyone is wondering why she is ignoring the two hottest topics in Telangana politics right now.
The first one is the Dalit Bandhu scheme, which CM KCR is implementing in the state, by depositing Rs. 10 Lakhs into the accounts of all those eligible for the scheme. Almost every opposition party has commented on the topic so far, with the exception of Sharmila. The second one is the Huzurabad by-polls, which have become the political sensation, with every party trying to win the seat. Sharmila hasn’t said a single word about these by-polls yet. It is now to be seen when she will comment on the topics, and what she would be saying in the end.
