To make the commuters breath clean air, a first of its kind Oxygen Parlor has been opened at Nasik railway station. Indian Railways has collaborated with the Airo Guard in the best interest of its commuters for the intiative.
Airo Guard co-founder, Amit Amritkar said that the concept has been recommended by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
“In 1989, NASA had conducted a study in which they identified some plants that better absorb the five most harmful pollutants from the air. We have planted most of those plants here. The 1500 plants can bring down the air pollution at the railway station,” he said.

Not confining to the railway stations, Amritkar said that he is also willing to take the idea to be implemented in every home. “People can also gift one of these plants to friends and family. It will expand the reach of this initiative and help improve the air quality across the country,” he added.
