Rachakonda police organized Blood Donation camp with Red Cross at Laxminarasimha function hall, Yadadri. The limited guest list included DGP of Bhongir, Sri K.Narayana Reddy along with Yadadri ACP Manohar Reddy, Red Cross society I/c Sri Narasimham Reddy, Ci Anjaneyulu of Yadagirigutta, RI Admin & other officers.
A total of 183 units of blood were collected during blood camps held in the Rachakonda Police limits over past two days to aid Thalassemia patients. The camps, organised in association with Rachakonda Police and the Indian Red Cross Society, were conducted at Bhongir and Yadagirigutta towns from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday consecutively.
Several youngsters from Bhongir and Yadagirigutta and nearby villages voluntarily came forward to donate blood. The Red Cross Society affirmed that the donated blood would be utilised for saving the lives of Thalassemia patients, emergency and accident victims across Telangana.
Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat insisted youngsters to donate blood whenever possible for Thalassemia patients during the pandemic. Since Covid-19 vaccination is going on and blood donation is unacceptable from people who have been vaccinated, Rachakonda commissionaire held blood donation camp in prior to reserve blood for Thalassemia patients.
Apart from that, Rachakonda police also collaborated with Srinivasa tours and travels for noncritical medical emergencies where the services can be availed by Senior citizens and PregnantWomen by contacting Rachakonda covid control.
