Right after he became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the Praja Darbar program, which is a means for the CM to get to interact with the people of the state and to get to know their grievances, followed by which he would be helping them. However, for the past few months, there has been no Praja Darbar event that has taken place.
Sources say that the CM hasn’t been showing any interest in meeting or interacting with the people, due to which the event is being postponed continuously. On the contrary, the CM keeps interacting with members of his part very regularly, more than once a week in fact. With that, everyone is questioning how the CM has a lot of interest and time when it comes to meeting his party members but is not enthusiastic to meet and interact with the people of the state, who essentially put him in his seat today.
On the other hand, Jagan’s father, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, used to make it a point to take part in the Praja Darbar program when he was the CM, every morning, only after which he used to go ahead with the rest of his day. This seems to be the best example of how much CM Jagan really seems to care about the people of AP.
