Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, who is known for helming the controversial movie ‘The Kashmir Files’, has once again caught the attention of everyone with his shocking comments on the Hindi film industry.
The popular filmmaker in his recent tweet took a dig at Bollywood, saying that the industry is in a bad shape. He also said that most of the wealth is being wasted to maintain the vanity and lifestyle of celebrities.
Reacting to a recent box-office report by a daily, which claimed that Pathaan is the only profitable film in Hindi in the first quarter of the year, he tweeted, “Bollywood is in bad shape. Again. Seems as if the entire industry is happy giving unrealistic and exorbitant fees to stars who can’t even guarantee an opening. Most money is wasted in vanity and lifestyle of stars. What’s going wrong?(sic)”
Vivek’s comment on Bollywood got mixed reactions from movie buffs in Hindi. On the other side, the director is preparing for the release of The Vaccine War, based on the Covid-19 pandemic.
