Allu Arjun was supposed to work with Venu Sriram for ‘Icon’ which was officially announced a while back. But the project was put on hold indefenitely after Allu Arjun turned busy and Venu Sriram moved on to Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab.
Given the fact that there has been no update on Icon for a long time now, many anticipated that the project has been shelved. But Venu Sriram is claiming otherwise.
“Icon is not shelved. I am in touch with Allu Arjun and the project will definitely happen. I will not do this film with any other actor except Allu Arjun. The story suits him and we will start working on the project in the near future,” he said.
Well, Venu Sriram seems to be really confident about Icon. However, Allu Arjun has two big projects in the pipeline. First, he will be wrapping up Sukumar’s rustic action entertainer, Pushpa and then move on to a film with Koratala Siva.
Going by Venu Sriram’s comments, Icon will definitely materialize but it is unclear when it would actually start rolling.
