Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on 13th May. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year.
The Koratala Siva directorial is in final leg of shoot and the fact that it is a mega multi-starrer with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in the lead roles has built sky-high buzz to the project.
The latest news is that Marakkar, starring Mohanlal in the lead role is also slated for release on 13th May. It will be locking horns with Chiranjeevi’s Acharya.
Marakkar is a Malayali film which, according to the makers is a grand epic of Indian History. It is mounted on a big budget.
A short while back, the makers of Marakkar released an official statement, saying the film will be out on 13th May.
Needless to say, Marakkar will have very little to no effect on Acharya’s box office prospects in the Telugu states but it might compete with the Chiranjeevi starrer in other domestic circuits.
