The Centra; administrative tribunal (CAT) has suspended the challenging petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh’s senior police official AB Venkateswara Rao for alleged misconduct.
AB Venkateswara Rao was the Chief of the Intelligence department in Andhra Pradesh during Chandra Babu’s reign and he was alleged of favouring Naidu and his involvement in the party’s internal affairs and government activities.
Later he was accused of treason which is an intolerable offense in India. He was accused of leaking the state’s internal affairs and the consumption of illegal weapons. The officer was accused of endangered ‘national security’ by disclosing intelligence protocols to an Israeli defense manufacturing firm.
Some people even claim that he recommended many TDP leaders for having a ticket in 2019 general elections and Chandra Babu considered his word every time.
Now Jagan expelled him from the department as soon as he became Chief Minster. AB and Naidu alleged that Jagan is taking revenge without any proves and Venkateswara Rao expected full support from the leader of opposition till the very end.
Now as CAT suspended his petition, it seems like Ab has nowhere to go but to accept the consequences without any fight. As the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on March 7 confirmed his suspension on the request of the state government and requested the state government to issue the charge sheet against the officer by April 7, 2020, he will face serious consequences in the coming days.
