Keerthy Suresh recently made waves after the release of her crime mystery ‘Penguin’ and had been showing much interest to act in female-oriented roles. However, her previous film ‘Rang de’ had been in the news since early 2019 and the film progress is moving at a snail pace.
The film’s first clap was done by Trivikram Srinivas earlier in 2019. Of late Rang de’s first look motion poster was out in March. This film would be the first-ever combination of Nithiin and Mahanati fame Keerthi Suresh bankrolled by Sitara entertainments.
Now Rumour mills are abuzz that the narrative is inspired from Shahid and Kareena’s Bollywood film ‘Jab we met’. Venky atluri, who has exceptionally executed the films ‘Tholi Prema’ and ‘Mr. Manju’ is helming Rang de. Reportedly, 70% of film was shot before lockdown and ground to halt due to the pandemic. The cinematographer of the film, P.C Sreeram shared on twitter lately that Rang de’s shoot is going to recommence with the remaining 30% shoot soon in August.
Interestingly, Keerthi will be seen as the leading lady in Nithiin’s another upcoming film ‘Power Peta’, which would be their second combination together. According to hearsay, the film is expected to be a fictional political thriller, directed by Krishna Chaitanya.
