Nine Indian players ruled out of Sri Lanka T20 Series

Team India, which is currently touring Sri Lanka, has suffered a big blow after eight of its key players were ruled out of the entire T20 series.

If the reports are true, eight Indian players, who were in close contact with Krunal Pandya, are said to be dropped from the team. They will be kept in isolation and won’t be available for the rest of the series. Now, the team management is considering all available options to form the new playing eleven to take on the hosts in the second T20 match.

The players, who are to be dropped from the team are Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Krishnappa Gowtham, Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan.

Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav, who are supposed to fly England as a backup to Kohli led team, will now be allowed to travel after a brief delay.

Some reports revealed that Krunal and his eight contacts were cut off from the rest of the team, and they will need to clear another RT-PCR test. More details are awaited.
