Even though the governor of Andhra Pradesh, Biswabhushan Harichandan issued clear orders to the AP government to appoint Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the State Chief Election Commissioner after meeting Nimmagadda in his office two days ago, it seems the YSRCP government is in no mood to follow his orders.
Already, they didn’t care high court’s orders, and now, even after Governor gave clear instructions, AP government’s Chief Vip Srikanth Reddy conducted a Press meet and made the same allegations on Ramesh Kumar and didn’t mention a word about Governor’s orders.
Reddy further asked Nimmagadda where does he get all this money to fight this issue in courts and alleged that he hasn’t followed laws of the constitution and met the BJP leaders in Star hotels to create conspiracy against AP government. However, the governor’s orders kind of put the government in a predicament. They have already neglected court orders and now experts are issuing warnings that a constitutional crisis is imminent if YCP continues this attitude.
Even though the supreme court issued stay till 24th for another hearing, it undergoes regarding the contempt of court orders by AP government which is indeed in favor of Nimmagadda as they already made it clear that they cannot interfere in high court’s decision. So, it is clear that YSRCP is waiting for a loophole to delay the process of appointing Nimmagadda as SEC but every scenario is against them at the moment, and let’s see how Jagan & co play the game from now on.
