The National Human Rights Commission(NHRC) issued conditional summons to the AP govt. MP Raghurama Krishnama Raju had lodged a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) alleging that he had been illegally arrested by the AP CID police and had been subjected to third-degree treatment during the interrogation. The NHRC, which received the complaint, immediately sent notices to the state government. It ordered the AP state government to send a report on Raghurama’s arrest. However, the commission was outraged that the AP government did not respond to the notices sent by them.
However, NHRC issued conditional summons to the AP Home Secretary and DGP. NHRC expressed impatience as to why there was a delay in sending the report. It ordered to send the report by August 9th.
