TSRTC strike came to an end with employees joining back in the duties. KCR decided to demolish the union system and the TSRTC employees are currently focuses on their jobs and improving the organization rather than demanding the government.
Meanwhile, a new problem is appearing in front of the TSRTC. The raise in the ticket prices is making people move towards alternative solutions. A raise in 20 paise per KM is showing a significant impact on long distance travels. People going towards Andhra Pradesh are preferring APSRTC over TSRTC while people in Hyderabad are preferring metro rail service over the bus.
Even though, KCR’s strategy of raise in ticket price may seem like improving the TSRTC’s financial situation, the reducing customers aspect is bringing back the organization to the same place. We have to see how TSRTC tackles this situation. Few people were suggesting improvement of service and customer satisfaction to retain the customer base. Stay tuned for more updates.
