Exceeding even the expectations of YSRCP, the party witnessed a humongous victory in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections of Andhra Pradesh with a whooping 151 assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats.
TDP, with no option left, then promised to be a responsible opposition party and also stated that it would form an opinion on the new government, only after giving it enough time to settle the things.
But it’s not even a week, Jagan Mohan Reddy took oath as AP CM, the opposition party, though not uttering directly, but is strategically moving the coins through the TDP activists on the social media.
For instance, the state government has arranged an Iftar party to the Muslims recently. Aiming at this, a few netizens on the social media, posted that the government has spent a lot of money. The reports are rife that the said netizens are none other than TDP activists, who also kept on attacking the opposition parties, during the elections. This is nothing but a proxy war, that TDP began against YSRCP.
With over three decades of experience in the politics, TDP had to face a most miserable result in the recent elections. The way TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu used his media channels to mask up his faults, the way he changed his opinions on serious issues like special status and several such issues led to the defeat of his party.
While the well-experienced party is supposed to review the causes of its defeat and come up with quality work, it seems, the TDP is moving forward with its traditional style of politics. Things of this sort, would only worsen the position of TDP in the state, and on the flip side, they may also strengthen the ruling party YSRCP more and thus emerge as a supreme power soon, like how TRS attained it in Telangana, with no strong oppositions.
