Legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has been admitted to a city hospital in Chennai for cardiac treatment. The 49-year-old has undergone angioplasty, and he is doing fine now.
As per reports, the Srilankan cricket legend undergone angioplasty for a blockage which was detected at the end of March.
Muralitharan has been the bowling coach and mentor of Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2015. Unfortunately, his team has witnessed three losses in a row this ongoing IPL 14 season.
For the unversed, Muralitharan is the leading wicket-taker in international cricket with 1347 wickets. He served Sri Lanka in 133 Tests, 350 ODIs and 12 T20 Internationals. He took a tremendous 800 wickets in tests, 534 in the ODIs and 13 in the T20s.
