One Bollywood movie that has got everyone waiting when it would finally hit screens even after lockdown, is the pan India magnum opus ‘Brahmastra’.
The first installment of Director Ayan Mukerji’s ambitious fantasy trilogy, having star studded cast such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bacchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and above all, Shah Rukh Khan in an extended cameo, has been on the back burner for more than three years now due to issues in production and post-production, wherein covid pandemic added more financial woes.
It appears that Ayan Mukerji and producer Karan Johar are backing off to decide a release date for their product. It is already known that Karan’s Dharma productions in collaboration with fox star studios had been planning to release between November and December.
Nevertheless, credible sources now reveal that multiple big budget films like Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey, Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti, Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadhha etc . are in the pipeline for release in November and December and also have created enough buzz with promotions prior to Brahmastra. Hence, the team is now reconsidering its release strategy and plans to shift it to early 2022. It is it be waited for the confirmation from the makers about the same.
