Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi has witnessed a massive pre-release business and is making it big at every step, while nearing its release.
Maharshi’s theatrical rights for Nizam area are sold for 24 crores, and it got another 13 crores from East and West Godavaris (6 and 7 crores respectively). While Ceded area fetched the highest 12.5 crores, rights for Krishna were sold at 6 crores.
In Telugu states alone, Maharshi managed to witness a whopping Rs. 76+ crores business. When Overseas rights that are sold for 14 crores and Karnataka’s 8+ crores, along with other territories are also included, the overall pre-release business of Maharshi has touched 100 crores.
To drop all the distributors in the safe zone, Mahesh now has a responsibility of collecting Rs.100 crores share after the release. Not just a positive, but a blockbuster talk will help Maharshi to witness such a massive collection at the box office.
Apart from the above mentioned 100 crores, Maharshi also added another 50 crores in its kitty, through the Telugu satellite rights (16.6 crores), Hindi dubbing rights (20 cr), Digital youtube and other streaming rights (11 cr) and other branding rights (2 cr).
While the production cost of Maharshi stood at 140 crores, the film is already a profitable venture, as it got sold for 150 crores.
