The curtains have been drawn, revealing the first look of a cinematic spectacle that promises to unravel pre-partition Bengal and resonate with the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Starring Raima Sen and Abhishek Singh in the lead roles, the film Maa Kaali is produced by T.G Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory banner and is directed by Vijay Yelakanti. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer. The movie will be released in Hindi and Bengali languages very soon.

“Maa Kaali” emerges as a narrative excellence, delving into the intricacies of identity and historical upheaval. With historical resonance and contemporary relevance, “Maa Kaali” comes with cinematic storytelling. The first look poster, unveiled today, captures the essence of the film with striking imagery depicting the powerful presence of Maa Kaali with a woman wearing a hijab, symbolising the intricate layers of identity and community barriers that our film explores. Director Vijay Yelakanti helms this project, navigating through the history and ideology of India. The creative vision is bolstered by Krithi Prasad as Creative Producer and Sri Nivas D as Co-Director. Acharya Venu, known for his work in “Balagam,” assumes the role of Director of Photography, while Kiran Ganti, the editor of “Khosla Ka Ghosla,” takes charge of editing, ensuring a seamless fusion of artistic expression and cinematic finesse.

At the forefront of this cinematic odyssey are the talented ensemble cast led by Raima Sen and Abhishek Singh. Their portrayal of pivotal characters will breathe life into the historical canvas, offering audiences a glimpse into the tumultuous era of pre-Partition Bengal and the reverberations of the CAA. Their involvement adds depth and gravitas to the narrative. “It’s a story that resonates deeply with the ethos of the nation, a story to explore the complexities of every character in the film.”

In the realm of music and lyrics, “Maa Kaali” boasts a stellar collaboration, with Anurag Halder weaving melodies that echo the soul-stirring narratives, complemented by the evocative lyrics of Kunaal Vermaa. Amarnath Jha’s dialogues serve as the narrative glue, seamlessly stitching together the fabric of emotions and ideologies.

With every frame pulsating with the rhythm of history and every dialogue resonating with the echoes of the past, “Maa Kaali” emerges as more than just a film – it’s a cinematic pilgrimage, inviting audiences to embark on a journey of self-discovery and collective introspection.
