It is known that Movie Artistes Association (MAA) elections are slated to be held on October 10. Ahead of the polls, presidential candidate Manchu Vishnu spoke to the media on Tuesday evening. He alleged that Prakash Raj is putting everything in front of the media and reacting strongly to the elections held in a family.
“Our panel members told us to go to the paper ballot. The paper ballot is possible to calculate many times. “MAA has over 160 people over 60 years of age. 100 of them said they would come straight and vote. It is better to give BP pill to Prakash Raj. He is acting abnormal and shedding crocodile tears in front of the media. I wrote a letter to ‘MAA’ not to use EVMs. Because the paper ballot was used in the last election as well. These, however, can be counted many times. EVMs are likely to be tampered with,” he said.
“The Election Commission has sent an SMS to ‘MAA’ members asking them to pay Rs 500 for a postal ballot. Many adults called me and asked. Every vote is important in this election. So I told them, ‘I will pay that Rs.500 on behalf of them.’ A few hours later we got a phone call from the Election Commission. We can give members time to pay the money for the postal ballot. It all happened legally,” he added.
Vishnu also advised Prakash Raj panel members to avoid controversial statements, as they are all part of Telugu Cinema and they should be bonded for good.
