In order to contain the spread of Covid-19, the Karnataka government has extended the state-wide lockdown till June 7.
The state has been under restrictions since May 10. The government has now extended the lockdown by another two weeks and the restrictions will be in force till 6 am on June 7. There will be no changes in the restrictions.
Announcing the same, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said the decision has been taken after discussing it with the officials and ministers. “We had strict restrictions till May 24. As per the opinion of experts, we are extending the strict restrictions till June 7 at 6 am,” the said.
On the other hand, Karnataka Friday reported 32,218 fresh Covid-19 cases and 353 deaths taking the tally to 23,67,742.
