The state of Jharkhand has announced a lockdown from April 22 to April 29 in the wake of rising corona positive cases.
It has announced an exemption from the lockdown for emergency services. The government allowed religious institutions to remain open. But people were not allowed to gather on a large scale in religious places.
The Jharkhand government has said it will exempt lockdown for mining, agriculture, and construction activities.
Already the Delhi government has imposed a lockdown for a week. Similarly, the UP government has also announced a lockdown for a week in the state.
Lockdown restrictions will continue in several districts of Maharashtra. A night curfew has been imposed in the state of Telangana.
