We know the Ayush department has clarified that the Covid medicine produced in Krishnapatnam by a local ayurvedic medicine practitioner, Anandaiah, does not contain any harmful ingredients. The officials said that 18 herbs have been used in the medicine.
Now, the officials are planning to experiment this medicine on animals. YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy examined whether the Srujana Life Lab will be suitable for doing these experiments.
The National Research Institute is already researching medicine. The experts said they will experiment on rats and rabbits and submit the reports, and then give the remedy to animals in a step-by-step procedure.
Scientists at the lab say they have been experimenting with animals in their lab for the past 15 years on several drugs. However, the experts said that they did not have a system to infect the animal with corona and conduct tests on it.
As per reports, the officials said the experiments could take at least a month. Only after this process is complete, then the experts will conduct experiments and clinical trials on animals.
