Though Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not respond to the death of former speaker of AP assembly Kodela Siva Prasad Rao, the state government offered to provide full state honors to his cremation, considering his vast political experience. But shockingly, the Kodela family rejected the government’s offer and wished to conduct the last rites in the presence of TDP leaders, along with the other activists and supporters.
Blaming the state government for the death of Kodela, the family said that he had to take such extreme step, only due to the continuous targets of YSRCP government. They added that the full state honors is only an act of eyewash.

At a point of time, where the government is receiving severe backlash from all the sides, even Kodela’s family rejecting the state honors has further worsened the position of Jagan and his government. The netizens are criticizing the young CM for allegedly harassing Kodela for the last three months by filing numerous cases on him.
Meanwhile, the Last Rites of Kodela Siva Prasad Rao will be performed at Swargapuri Burial Ground in Narasaraopeta today.
