YSRCP member Kodali Nani is known for his upright abusive words and unruly behavior when it comes to speaking about anyone that doesn’t belong to his party. This behavior reaches its worst when he is asked to speak about opposition leader and TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu.
The recent decision of the TTD to forgo the declaration of faith by people belonging to other faiths has been met with a lot of criticism from devotees and others and well. Chandrababu Naidu had asked CM Jagan to sign the declaration before entering the holy Venkateswara Swamy temple, to offer Pattu clothes.
Speaking about the issue, Kodali Nani questioned the necessity of a declaration, and why it had to be in place for only Tirumala, when it was not in place for other temples such as the Srisailam or Vijayawada Kanaka Durga temple. Lashing out at Babu, Nani asked why Babu was so particular about Jagan signing the declaration when Babu didn’t bother about it when Jagan was not the CM. Nani also said that Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy had also visited the temple, but no one asked him for a declaration, not even Babu himself.
Furthermore, Nani questioned why Babu was so interested in keeping the declaration intact, when people more devoted to the Hindu religion themselves are not asking for the same. He also said that no mosque or Church asks for a person to declare their religion when they enter the premises, and said that there’s no point in asking for a declaration of the same in a Hindu temple either.
Nani also said that the Hindu religion is suffering from the caste system because rules like this have been put in place, where people are discriminated based on where they come from and who they are. He even demanded for the declaration to be removed, and said that a person would go to the Tirumala temple if they believed in Venkateswara Swamy, and hence there was no necessity for the declaration to be in place.
Opposing the idea that the purity of the temple would be lost if the declaration was removed, Nani strongly argued that the temple’s purity has nothing to do with the declaration which is an unnecessary commodity, which was put in place to create problems.
When asked why the government wasn’t taking proper action against the Antarvedi Chariot burning incident, and the case of the 3 missing silver lions from Kanaka Durga Chariot, Nani expressed his suspicions over Babu, and even said that he has proof that the ex-CM got all of it done to defame the current government, and Jagan.
Nani spoke in a very barbaric way with respect to how the AP BJP and Jana Sena are acting. He said that both the parties are racing to prove that they are the saviors of the Hindu religion, and even said that they are two desperate parties dying for attention, and grabbing it anyway possible.
Being a prominent politician, it is sad to see that Kodali Nani is so fluent in speaking unparliamentary language when it is he who should pave the way for the people who have voted him to power, and show them the importance and integrity that come with basic human decency.
On the other hand, Hindu devotees have expressed their abhorrence towards the removal of the declaration and even asked the government to steer clear of all Hindu temples. They asked the government to dare and interfere in the matters of Churches and Mosques, and then get to Hindu temples.
