Telangana Chief Minsiter KCR commands a certain respect from the people of the state for being a key player in ensuring the state of Telangana was formed, with him leading the struggle for the formation of the separate state. He has been ruling the state for the past 8 years without any strong opposition, and his TRS party continues to command a strong support in the state still.
In recent times though, a lot has been going on in Telangana politics, with the BJP having emerged as a strong opposition for the TRS, after winning a subsequent number of seats in the GHMC elections and even winning the Dubbaka and Huzurabad by-elections. After Etela Rajender joined the BJP, things got more heated in the state, with the BJP and the TRS constantly at logger heads with each other.
At a time when the BJP is trying to gain momentum and following in the state, CM KCR seems more interested in national politics than in the politics and welfare of his own state, which is inviting the ire of a lot of people. The CM seems to be tarnishing and sabotaging his image in the state all by himself, by not paying proper attention to what’s going on in the state. Perhaps it’s time for him to get back to the state and its welfare.
