Recently, the centenary birthday celebrations of notable and prominent former Prime Minister of India, P.V.Narasimha Rao had been celebrated by the state government. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister KCR said that he would make sure that PV would get the Bharata Ratna honor at any cost, in honor of all the reforms that he’s brought to the country.
Today, the Chief Minister moved a resolution for the very same in the assembly, and has once again said that he would speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi if necessary, to make sure that PV is awarded Bharata Ratna. KCR said that PV is the person because of whom education policies, land rights and economic policies of India have seen a remarkable renaissance.
KCR also demanded that PV’s statue be placed in the parliament, and that the Hyderabad University be named after the former Prime Minister. KCR added that it was because of PV Narasimha Rao’s vision that Foreign Companies are now able to invest directly in India, and that it was because of PV that India saw a staggering economic and employment growth.
KCR also spoke about the reforms that PV introduced as the CM of United Andhra Pradesh, and how they have been highly instrumental in shaping up the future of the state. KCR also said that PV himself gave 800 acres of land in his hometown, for the poor.
Furthermore, PV Narasimha Rao’s centenary celebrations are to be held throughout the rest of the year, on a grand scale, depending upon the situation of Coronavirus.
