For quite some time now, there have been rumors about KTR becoming the next Chief Minister of Telangana, sooner than later. Chief Minister KCR has called for a party meeting on February 7th, and it is expected that KCR would step down from all of his activities, and officially announce KTR as the CM on February 8th.
It is now being speculated that Kavitha, KCR’s daughter, will be given a key role in the party. She is reportedly being considered to be made the Working President of the party, and report everything happening in the party, directly to KCR himself. As part of this plan, KCR has also reportedly asked Kavitha to tour the state extensively, and to maintain a cordial relationship with every minister and MLA.
On the other hand, it is being said that Harish Rao is being considered to be made the working president of the party, after KTR becomes the CM, as Harish Rao has an extensive following of his own, and if he is not given any major post, then it would lead to a major internal conflict within Telangana.
Harish Rao has been very instrumental in TRS’s win in the last general elections, and many of his followers are enjoying good posts in the party. If Harish Rao is not given a substantial post, then there are chances that Harish’s followers might even desert the party. This will lead to a lot of complications for TRS.
It is now to be seen what will happen, and what posts will be given to Harish Rao and Kavitha, and how the power will be balanced in the party, without any differences.
