The AP state election commission has given a huge shock to Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, a minister from Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district. Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has issued sensational directives on Peddireddy’s remarks threatening the government officials. He directed the Andhra Pradesh DGP to keep him under house arrest till the 21st of this month. SEC said that Peddireddy Ramachandrareddy’s remarks were unconstitutional.
He was placed under house arrest to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections. In the letter, Nimmagadda instructed the DGP not to allow him to speak to the media either.
