Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with the Prime Minister of India today, Narendra Modi, and was inside the PM’s cabin for 30 minutes. For how much of these 30 minutes they both discussed serious issues remain a secret, but the fact that the CM spent that much time inside the PM’s cabin has become the talk of the town. While it is expected that Jagan must have talked about everything from Polavaram to a special status for AP, it is interesting to note that Jagan met Finance Minsiter Nirmala Sitaraman immediately after meeting with the PM.
It is expected that an official press statement reading the meeting would be issued by the government very soon, which would say that it was a casual meeting and that nothing was serious, by the government-pro media. However, it is to be noted that the real agenda of the meeting would never come to light.
Given that Jagan immediately met with the Finance Minister, it is expected that the CM must have spoken to the PM about borrowing more loans, and the required permissions for the same. It is also being said that the CM could have discussed the YSRCP’s support for the BJP in the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections. All in all, Jagan’s Delhi visit and PM’s appointment continue to remain a mystery.
