In a surprising news, a woman from Vadodara in Gujarat is all set to marry herself in a traditional wedding ceremony.
Kshama Bindu, a 24-year-old will tie the knot with herself and the wedding will feature everything right from the wedding vows to a honeymoon in Goa.
As per reports, this is going to be India’s first solo wedding, or sologamy.
“I looked up to see if there has been any such marriage in India, but couldn’t find any. Maybe I am the first one to do so,” Kshama Bindu said to an English daily.
“I never wanted to get married. But I did want to become a bride. So I decided to marry myself. Self-marriage is a commitment to be there for yourself and unconditional love for oneself. It’s also an act of self-acceptance,” she further added.
Kshama Bindu’s wedding will be held at a temple in Gotri. After the wedding, she will be leaving Goa for a two-week honeymoon.
