The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has taken several wrong decisions throughout its tenure and has faced several difficulties as well. While Jagan’s YSRCP continues to enjoy popularity in the people of the state, it is also losing the confidence of certain sections of the society, especially that of the middle class. This has been proved by a recent survey that the YSRCP is said to have gotten conducted in the state.
Two surveys were conducted, with the first survey delivering positive results to the government – where senior citizens and women expressed satisfaction with the welfare schemes of the government; and the second one noted the dissatisfaction among the middle class. The middle class, educated society is said to be unhappy with the petrol fuel hike, bad roads and worsening financial situation of the government.
In order to get back the favour of the middle class, and to control the damage, Jagan is said to have decided to reduce the VAT imposed on petrol, which would reduce the prices on petrol, and he is also said to have decided to begin repair works on the roads as soon as possible. Considering the financial situation of the government though, analysts say that it would be a highly impossible task for Jagan to repair the roads.
