TRS government in Telangana has earlier introduced the scheme called Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak, through which the married women will get a gift of Rs. 50000 from the state government.
But the newly formed YSRCP government is all set to launch the similar scheme in the name of YSR Pelli Kanuka, through which the it will gift Rs. 1 lakh on the wedding date. The scheme is set to come into the implementation on Sri Rama Navami. SC, ST and Minorities are eligible for the scheme and even construction workers will get the monetary gift, if they get married. Jagan took the decision in the recent cabinet meeting.
While the state is in deep financial crisis, announcing the schemes of this sort that too with such a huge amount, is expected to trouble the government in the long run. However, the YSRCP activists are spreading the news all over the social media, where the netizens are lauding the decision of young CM. It is also expected to remove the caste mark on Jagan, who is blamed for allegedly being in favor of his own caste people.
On the other side, YSR Pelli Kanuka scheme is expected to trouble KCR as the comparisons begin with Kalyana Lakshmi scheme, which obviously ranks much below the Jagan’s scheme.
