Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy comes up with the sensational decision quite frequently, shocking the political circles. In a fresh decision during the cabinet meeting, the dynamic CM has announced to register the houses for poor at just Rs.1
The poor people occupied the government places and constructed houses and living in the same places for the past few years. Identifying such cases, Jagan has decided to regularize the lands on the names of the same poor people, if there is no litigation.
In rural and urban areas, the registration fee for the 100 square yards houses on the government land, for those below the poverty line is decided to be Rs. 1. If the house size is 100 square yards to 300 square yards on the government land, then the district collector will decide the cost.
On the other side, for those who are above the poverty line and constructed the house that is under 300 square yards, then the district collector will regularize the land, based on the market value. If the house that is constructed by the poor on a government’s land was sold to other poor people, even such land has been decided to regularize as per the rules.
