Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently on the mission to make sure that his vote bank is safe and secure. He is touring various districts and addressing the public, and is set to visit more districts in the months to come. Sources are even saying that the CM is considering early polls, as he doesn’t want to take a risk, and wants to secure votes when the people are still in the heat of his speeches.
Speaking at Ongole recently, Jagan seemed to have steeped to an all-time low, by saying that the people of Andhra Pradesh wouldn’t get any welfare schemes in Chandrababu Naidu came to power. While everyone knew that Jagan would use his welfare schemes to get back to power in 2024, no one expected to speak so plainly and openly about it, in a way that can be considered as emotionally cornering the people of AP.
While it is true that there would be no welfare schemes if Jagan doesn’t return to power, it is also true that the situation of AP would become much better if anyone else other than Jagan came to power. In the three years that he has been in power, there hasn’t been a single developmental activity taken up by the Jagan government, and in return, the government has only pushed the state into a deep financial crisis, one that would take decades to clear out.
