A a family in Nandyal, the family of Abdul Salaam, had committed a joint suicide, shocking everyone in the two Telugu states. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy hadn’t responded to the issue, raising a lot of eyebrows, and attracting a lot of unnecessary attention towards him.
Breaking his silence, the CM finally responded today and said that the AP government took the necessary action against those police officers responsible for this suicide, on time. He also said that cases were filed against them, and that they were even arrested.
Jagan then criticised opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu for faking his concern for the minorities on Zoom and Twitter, and said that it was the same Chandrababu Naidu who never cared about the minorities when he was in power.
Furthermore, Jagan also said that it was a lawyer who worked for the Telugu Desam Party that got the accused out of jail, on a bail. Jagan even said that the AP government filed a petition in the High Court, requesting for the cancellation of the bail for those who have been accused in the matter, and even said that the government will make sure that the accused are severely punished.
It is now to be seen how things will turn out to be for the government and for those who have been accused.
