The Telangana Rashtra Samithi seems to have come to a decision on who should be the candidate for the Huzurabad by-elections. Looks like Galla Srinivas Yadav has been selected as the candidate for these elections, and it is expected that the announcement would be made officially by CM KCR on 16th, at the inauguration of Rythu Bandhu in Huzurabad.
Galla is currently the youth leader of TRS, and also has a reputation of being a student leader, and hails from Veenavanka village in the Huzurabad constituency. Given that Etala has a reputation of being the leader of the Telangana agitation, KCR is said to be of the thought that Galla is the right candidate for these by-elections, as he too was a part of the Telangana movement, and has even been to prison for the same.
Previously, Padi Kaushik Reddy was considered for these by-elections, but he has been given an MLC post as KCR is said to have decided to give the seat to BCs this time. Names such as Vakulabharam Krishnamohan Rao and L. Ramana were also heard previously, but Galla is being given priority due to his activism, and he also happens to be close to TRS. Galla is currently the state president of TRSV, and his candidature is expected to be made official if the election notification isn’t released by the 16th of this month.
