Have you ever experienced a live cricket match without commentary? If you had, we think you should have felt weird and disgusting. The same amount of discomfort is being brought by the Corona Virus to the cricket fans around the world this year.
While everything is set for the start of the 13th edition of the world’s biggest cricket league, IPL, the Corona Virus which was originated from the Wuhan province of China has spreaded its wings to India giving a huge shock to IPL fans.
As a preventive measure, the government has issued a statement and it reads. “All existing visas, except diplomatic, official, UN/International organisations, employment and project visas, stand suspended till 15th April 2020. This will come into effect from 1200GMT on 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.”
So no foreign player will be available in this Mega league till April 15 and who knows this date may get extended. Rubbing the salt on the wound, the IPL committee that met today is considering conducting the IPL matches in closed doors which means no fan is allowed inside the stadium.
Imagine the IPL matches played by your favourite cricketing superstar who scores fours and sixes without the cheers. That’s it for now and it seems a lot more to come. So be prepared..!
