Director Gunasekhar‘s upcoming film ‘Shakuntalam‘, starring Samantha Akkineni is one of the much-anticipated films from Tollywood. Ever since the makers of the film released the motion poster of Samantha, fans have been eagerly waiting for more updates.
Now, the makers unveiled an interesting update today. They introduced Dev Mohan as Dushyyant, the male lead of the film through a motion poster.
The story is from Athaparva of the epic tale Mahabharata. Based on the love story of Dushyanta and Shakuntala, daughter of sage Vishwamitra, Shakuntalam tells about the love affair, secret marriage, separation of imprecation and reunion of the immortal love of the couple.
Shaakuntalam has music from Mani Sharma’s music. Neeraja Guna is bankrolling the film on Gunaa Teamworks. Samantha will join the sets of ‘Shakuntalam’ from March 20.
