Puri Jaganath, the mass director of Tollywood, sent a letter to PM Narendra Modi on the aspect of single use plastic. Narendra Modi and few other politicians showed single use plastic as the reason for climate change and are moving towards banning it in different parts of the country.
Puri Jaganath came up with a forecast of what will happen after single use plastic is banned. He mentioned that the companies will start making paper bags and other products made of wood or paper. This would eventually lead to deforestation and then to the climate change again.
So, Puri Jaganath finalized that the ban on single use plastic is not the sole solution for decreasing climate change effects. He mentioned that the plastic recycling units should be established and it should be reused. On the other hand, he mentioned that the government should give incentives to the people who opt to recycle the plastic they used.
As Puri Jaganath is a mass director who works on commercial films, this side of eco-friendly thoughts were not expected from him. But the content in his letter is valid and it is something both the government and the people should think about. Great going Puri Jaganath!
