It is known that BJP either rules the state or makes a tie-up with the party which has significant command on the particular state. TDP used to be the best partner for BJP in Andhra Pradesh for several decades.
Even though there were few differences, the two parties used to get united before the elections to fight against Congress. In the last 5 years rule of TDP, things got worse between the two parties. Initially, they worked together but in the case of Special Status, TDP is said to have initially agreed to BJP’s Special Package scheme but later on blamed BJP when people in Andhra Pradesh protested for Special Status.
During the recent elections, Chandra Babu Naidu didn’t support Modi in the central level and this turned BJP against TDP. Recently, Chandra Babu Naidu is said to have approached BJP but the party is not responding positively. BJP leader Sunil Deodhar finalized that BJP won’t be having any tie-ups with TDP in future. He further clarified that BJP won’t be having any tie-ups with either Congress or Jana Sena.
