India has launched the world’s largest vaccination program to eradicate the corona epidemic. The first installment of the Covid vaccine is being given to health care workers and front line workers across the country.
B. Pushpakumari, who works as a sweeper in the medical health department, has created a record as the first person to be vaccinated against corona in AP. Health workers are being vaccinated at 332 centers in the state. The state received 4.96 lakh doses of the vaccine. Of these, 20,000 doses are Covaxin and the rest are Covishield.
In the first installment, the Covishield will be given to the people. On the first day, 33,200 people will be vaccinated at 332 centers at a rate of 100 people for each center. A total of 2,324 people are expected to perform duties at these 332 centers. Three rooms were set up in each center. The medical department has set up special teams to provide immediate treatment to anyone who develops reactions during vaccination.
