Popular Badminton player PV Sindhu, who hails from Hyderabad, and who has been trained under ace player Pullela Gopichand has made a rather shocking statement on her Twitter account today.
Sindhu posted a picture which reads “I Retire”, and this sent all of her fans into a state of panic. Everyone started to speculate that the Badminton Champion retired from the sport at just 25. However, upon reading what she wrote, it was clear that it wasn’t a retirement from the sport, but totally something else.
Sindhu said that she is ready to fight her opponent no matter how strong they are, and for that, she said that she would go to any extent. On the other hand, she stated that it is not the same when it comes to fighting against the pandemic of Coronavirus, which we can neither see nor perceive. She stated that it is being impossible for anyone to even step out of the house right now.
Sindhu expressed her grief over not being able to attend Denmark open, and said that it is time for all of us to open our eyes and realise that we all have to fight this virus collectively, and make sure that we get rid of it as soon as possible.
Furthermore, Sindhu said that she is very much looking forward to the Asia Open, and said that she will begin working harder towards it. She even added that she put up her post as “I Retire” to draw attention, so that everyone would go through what she had to say.
