Malayalam movies are well-regarded all over India because of the interesting stories they tell. Audience of Malayalam films too are open to different types of movies and are happy to show their support and appreciation. But the case is different in the neighboring states.
“Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life”, the latest Malayalam release, directed by Blessy and based on Benyamin’s best-selling novel has garnered critical acclaim. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who played the lead role of Najeeb Muhammad, a migrant worker stranded in the desolate deserts of Saudi Arabia, has received widespread acclaim for his portrayal.
The movie was made visually beautiful and has oscar winning composer AR Rahman’s music. While this movie is a huge hit Kerala collecting 65 crores, it is not being received well in other states. The Tamil version was an average success but the movie struggled in Telugu and Kannada states.
It is to be seen whether this movie will make noise after its OTT release, which happened to many movies before.
