It is natural for anyone to think that the Andhra Pradesh High Court has given the order to the AP government to make all of its GOs public after the AP government announced that it is making all of its GOs private. However, this is not the case, as it is the Telangana High Court that has ordered the Telangana government to make all of its GOs public.
This order came after the Watch Voice of People organisation filed a petition in the High Court, stating that the Telangana government didn’t release any GO regarding the process and procedure of the Dalit Bandhu scheme that Chief Minister KCR introduced in Vasalamarri village. The CM said that the scheme would be applicable to 76 families in the village. The Watch Voice of People said that it is not right for the government to distribute the people’s money without properly informing them about the expenditure.
The advocate on the government’s side said that everything was clearly mentioned before the implementation of the scheme. The HC then ordered the advocate to make sure that the government uploads the GO on the official website within 24 hours. With the Telangana HC’s verdict clearly stating that every GO should be made public, everyone is interested to see what the situation would be in AP if a similar petition is filed.
