Subsequent to gathering details of almost three lakh people, who have been labelled as potential ‘superspreaders’ of Covid-19, the Greater Hyderabad metropolitan company (GHMC) has set up 32 inoculation communities across the city and immunized 21,666 recipients on Friday.
The city body intends to administer 30,000 jabs to the high risk groups each day according to the orders of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The deputy commissioner in each circle will take care of the exceptional drive to be held for 10 days.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, who visited a couple of special vaccination centres in Hyderabad, stated that more than 1.4 lakh people in the districts will be provided with inoculation over the next three days. On the whole 7.87 lakh individuals from high risk groups will be vaccinated during the special drive.
The GHMC is distinguishing beneficiaries and started the distribution of the tokens, which are discerned in 10 colours with respect to the merchant category at better places across the city. All LPG conveyance staff, reasonable value shop sellers, laborers at petroleum siphons, auto cart and taxi drivers, merchants in Rythu Bazaars, sellers of natural products, vegetable and bloom markets, and retailers at kirana stores, alcohol shops and non-veggie lover markets will be vaccinated for the drive.
