Mega Prince Varun Tej is all set to allure the audience with his upcoming film titled ‘Ghani’. However, the release of the sports drama, which is supposed to hit the theatres on December 24, has been postponed.
The film was supposed to release on December 3rd, but the makers pushed the date to December 24th. As there are no big promotional activities from the makers, it was speculated that Ghani might get an OTT release.
Clearing the air about the release date, Team Ghani issued a statement and confirmed the postponement of the film and stressed that Ghani will release only in theatres.
“As the industry is just recovering from the pandemic and there are a lot of films slated to release in the coming weeks, we have decided to postpone our release to a later date to avoid clashes and keeping in mind the impact it will have on the business of everyone involved. Ghani will release soon in theatres only and we are sure it will be a memorable experience for all,” read the statement.
Helmed by Kiran Korrapati, ‘Ghani’ is a tale of a boxer’s transformation. The film will also star Saiee Manjrekar, Jagapati Babu, Upendra, Suniel Shetty, and Naveen Chandra.
